Lose Weight Like The Biggest Losers

Every since I started watching The Biggest Loser TV Show, I’ve really paid attention to how the contestants actually lost their weight. Sure, working out 6 to 8 hours per day will cause you t lose weight, especially if you’re only eating a low calorie diet. But I wondered if there were any “secrets” I would see as I watched the show every week.

One of the first things I noticed about the Contestants on The Biggest Loser show was that they took in a lot of water. Water helps you lose weight in many ways. First, it helps flush fat out of your body. Next, it helps fuel your metabolism. And as every over weight person knows about skinny people, it’s that they have a high metabolism! Especially those “they can eat anything and still lose weight” annoying people!

The next thing I learned was that instead of eating 3 huge meals per day and snacking in between meals, the contestants ate several smaller meals per day. Once again, this fuels the metabolism and helps you burn more calories. One weight loss tip I came away with is too eat more of your calories early in the day so you’ll have plenty of time to burn them throughout the day.

Another thing that amazed me was the calorie intake of the contestants. Some tried to eat much less than what the trainers recommended. However, they quickly plateaued while the contestants who followed the trainers instructions lost weight. What happened is that the body thought it was starving because of the drastic reduced calorie intake and burned muscle instead of fat.

These weight loss tips can really help you jump start your diet. Remember, drink a lot of water throughout the day, eat smaller, healthier meals throughout the day and keep your calorie intake at sensible levels to fuel your metabolism. Who knows, after a few months, maybe your friends and family will start calling you The Biggest Loser.
