Hide A Double Chin

There are many ways to hide a double chin with clothing and with make-up. Before you look for ways to hide your double chin try to lose it first or to, at least, lessen its folds on your neck. A very simple exercise that really works to send most of your double chin to the top part of your neck is as follows: sit erect in a chair; tilt your head back until your chest feels as if it is as far forward as your neck is back; return your head back to normal and repeat ten times. Now, you can proceed to hide a double chin or what’s left of it because the exercise will make you feel as if it less obvious to others.

Begin to hide your double chin, if you are a woman, by using a foundation make-up on both your face and your neck. Don’t stop your make-up at your chin line. That makes your face look separate from your neck and if your neck tone is lighter or darker than your face, your double chin will be accentuated. Blend your foundation make-up from the face to the chin, under the chin on your double chin and down to your neck. Use a light colored lipstick as a dark lipstick draws attention to your mouth and chin area. Your hair if you are self conscious about your double chin should be kept short or worn up in a French twist or bun, a pony tail looks ridiculous on older women and even on some middle aged women.

Wearing turtle neck collars on sweaters will also help to hide a double chin. The most effective way of hiding a double chin is to wear scarfs.

An easy way to use a scarf as a camouflage to a double chin is to hold the scarf in front of you, each hand holding one end. Wrap the center of the scarf around your neck, twist the scarf behind your neck and bring both ends to the front and tie the two ends in a knot.

Keep plenty of fresh, different colored scarfs on hand to make dressing up and hiding your double chin an easy thing to do.
