Exercise To Lose A Double Chin

Are you tired of your double chin? Are you in low spirits because of your double chin? Do you want to get rid of your double chin? Are you desperate to be freed of your double chin but you really don’t know the way? Don’t worry. This article is going to suggest you a few exercises that will really hasten up your process of shedding off that double chin of yours.

First of all, we need to trace the cause of this problem - why we develop double chin?  A double chin is nothing but one or worse, even two additional chins. It usually happens when the skin in our neck becomes loose and starts sagging. The more the skin sags in the jaw line the more visible the double chin is.

Before starting your exercise to lose a double chin, do keep in mind that double chin may not be the sole problem, you may be suffering from a little overweight too. If you really want to reduce your double chin through these exercises, you need to shed off a few pounds first. You should carefully monitor your diet, regulate the amount of calories you intake throughout the day and you may take the help of other known weight reduction methods as well.

We hope that the exercises advised by us will not be difficult for you to do everyday. Use your pillow while sleeping. Adjust your sleeping posture as mentioned; before sleeping, lean your head over the pillow such that your neck and throat muscles are stretched to their maximum limit. The family of muscles responsible for our double chin is known as the ‘Platysma’ muscle family. You are trying to stretch these muscles till you feel they are tight enough. You should develop the habit of sleeping in this posture. In the beginning you may face some uneasiness but gradually it will be fine.

Sit on an armless chair and grip both sides. Now bend forward as much as possible. Keeping your mouth wide open, hold your tongue out as far as you can. Remain in this position for 5-10 seconds. Put your tongue inside and relax yourself for a minute. Perform this exercise 5 times at a stretch. You can repeat this whole process 3 or 4 times a day.

Now the next one. While doing this one, press the palms of your hands softly against your forehead. Apply some back pressure with your head and neck muscles. Maintain this pose for 10-15 seconds. Are you face and neck muscles feeling tight? Now slowly get back to normal state. Relax for a minute. Repeat the same thing, now covering your ears with your palm from the backside of your scalp. Perform this exercise 5 times at a stretch. You can repeat this whole process 3 or 4 times a day.

Remember that double chin can’t be shed off overnight or within a week. Follow the exercises to lose a double chin in a disciplined manner and it will help you to get rid of your double chin.
